I am Niamh Dulson-Ormsby, graduate from NTU Textile Design with a specialism in woven textiles. I am passionate about creating feelings of happiness and positivity through my work; my key points of inspiration for my graduate collection have come from things that myself and people close to me find joy in, from holiday memories to favourite flowers. This helped me to create pieces that build an emotional connection with the user and encourage an investment in the time and craft that is taken to create something on a small scale, encouraging more mindful consumption practices.

I have curated a bright and playful aesthetic that evokes happy memories of warm summer afternoons, creating items that can be used for a summer picnic and then brought into the home during colder months to bring small reminders of those happy memories into the home all year round.

My work takes a strong colour focus, which I enjoyed exploring during a menswear project with Paul Vogel where I received a commendation for use of colour in my work; these designs were also exhibited at Premier Vision in Paris.

This is something I am keen to explore further in my design practice.
